Prague, Nov 12 (CTK) - The Prague Stock Exchange (BCPP) fell notably Wednesday,
pulled down mainly by banks, but the biggest loser was media company CME,
and the PX index lost 4.73 percent to 825.5 points in the day, according to
bourse results.

Pessimistic mood on the BCPP was even worse than on Tuesday and the PX
index fell in particular owing to banks, said Josef Nemy of Komercni banka.

"The financial sector is flooded by bad news coming from all parts of
Europe," said Vladimir Pikora of Next Finance.

Erste Bank sank by over 10 percent to Kc403.50 and Komercni banka shed 8.02
percent to Kc2,764.

Even the recently released good economic results did not help Komercni
banka and its shares today fell through the Kc3,000 level.

CME tumbled by 13.69 percent to Kc375.10 and mining company NWR dropped
4.52 percent to Kc92.70.

Developer ECM, in contrast, gained 0.1 percent to Kc293.40. Telefonica O2
improved by 0.45 percent to Kc399.30 and textile company Pegas Nonwovens
added 2.84 percent to Kc235.

Petrochemical holding Unipetrol and power producer CEZ will announce their
economic results on Thursday.

Analysts believe that CEZ net profit grew by a third to nearly Kc11bn in
Q3. As for Unipetrol, its sales are expected to increase by 27 percent
year-on-year to Kc28bn in Q3.
