Prague, Aug 6 (CTK) - Five dozens teachers, who have been temporarily dismissed for the two-month summer holiday by heads of their schools, have addressed the Education Ministry, its spokesman Patrik Kubas has told CTK.

Some schools release teachers for the summer holiday to save money.

Education Minister Josef Dobes recently backed the teachers who are not paid during the summer due to this controversial practice.

Dobes called on the teachers who got only a ten-month contract from a primary or secondary school to let him know.

He said the school inspection would check the accounting of their schools in September.

Teachers may address the ministry without releasing their name if they fear of possible retaliation by the school management.
