Prague, Sept 11 (CTK) - The Prague police search for an unknown blogger who on the Internet has threatened to kill Finance Minister Miroslav Kalousek, server Parlamentni listy writes Sunday.

The anonymous blogger reportedly sought weapons to prepare the attack and asked fellow bloggers to give him contacts to the underworld, the server writes, citing a well-informed source.

Prague police spokeswoman Eva Kropacova told CTK that she has no information about the case.

Kalousek, too, said he knows nothing about the threat.

Nevertheless, he said he has experience with unknown people's threats.

"I'm receiving lots of threatening e-mails. Somebody threatens me everyday. I also receive SMSs with unpleasant prognoses such as that someone will stab me to death, disembowel and shoot dead," Kalousek told Parlamentni listy.

A perpetrator who threatens a public official may face up to three years in prison, said lawyer Ilja Kubicek.

Kalousek, 50, influential deputy chairman of the junior ruling TOP 09 party, is one of the main initiators and masterminds of the centre-right government's largely unpopular austerity measures and reforms aimed to reduce the public finance budget deficit.
