Prague, Feb 17 (CTK) - Kosovo has always been, is and always will be Serbia, demonstrators shouted at a rally protesting against the independence of Kosovo in Prague Friday.

"We protest against Serbia being robbed of Kosovo," "We are against violation of international law," they went on shouting at the rally called by the Friends of Serbs in Kosovo group.

Social Democrat (CSSD) deputy Jaroslav Foldyna, who is of Serb extraction, likened Kosovo's separation from Serbia to Czechoslovakia's loss of its borderland at which Germany, France, Italy and Britain agreed in Munich in 1938.

Spokesmen said two of the current presidential candidates, Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg and prime minister of a caretaker cabinet Jan Fischer (2009-2010), shook hands with Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaci, who has come under the suspicion of dealing in human organs in the late 1990s.

"These are not our candidates," the protesters shouted.

The demonstrators waved a banner saying "Kosovo is Serbia," Serbian flags and played Serbian national songs from loudspeakers.

Kosovo parliament declared unilaterally independence from Serbia on February 17, 2008. Serbia has never acknowledged the step.

Kosovo has been recognised by several tens of countries, including the Czech Republic.

The recognition of Kosovo was rejected by Communists, Social Democrats and President Vaclav Klaus.
