Prague, Feb 21 (CTK) - The Prague Municipal Court complied with the complaint filed by Prague high state attorney Vlastimil Rampula because the proposal for his dismissal was not sufficiently justified, Veronika Ludvikova, director of Justice Minister Jiri Pospisil's office, has told CTK.

The ministry has already received the court's verdict.

"The court believes that the reasons that Supreme State Attorney (Pavel Zeman) formulated in his proposal are not sufficient for Vlastimil Rampula to be dismissed," Ludvikova said.

She said the verdict is now being studied by the ministry's experts.

The court cancelled Pospisil's (Civic Democrats, ODS) decision on Friday. The verdict will become valid as soon as Rampula receives it as well.

Pospisil can file a cassation complaint against the verdict with the Supreme Administrative Court within two weeks.

The complaint, however, does not have any impact on the effect of the verdict.

Pospisil dismissed Rampula last October. He said Rampula breached law and that "he did not always behave so as not to give rise to a reasonable doubt about his impartiality."

Pospisil said the dismissal was correct not only from the legal point of view, but also from the matter-of-fact and moral points of view.

Pospisil dismissed Rampula because, he said, Rampula made mistakes in the case of Investicni a postovni banka (IBB) bank. Pospisil also criticised Rampula's alleged failure to react to wrong decisions his subordinate state attorneys made in several cases.

Daily Mlada fronta Dnes (MfD) wrote yesterday that Zeman is preparing another dismissal proposal on Pospisil's initiative.

MfD wrote that according to the information it has the case of privatisation of the Mostecka uhelna spolenost (MUS) could be a reason for another attempt to dismiss Rampula.

The Prague High State Attorney's Office has been temporarily headed by Stanislav Mecl since November.
