Czechs sign condolence book for Armstrong
Prague, Aug 31 (CTK) - About 100 people came to sign the condolence book for Neil Armstrong, the first astronaut who landed on the Moon and who died at the weekend, at the American Center in Prague by Friday, the embassy's staffers have told CTK.
It was possible to sign the book until Friday. The embassy will offer it to U.S. archives.
Armstrong died, aged 82, on Saturday. According to his family, he died from complications after a recent heart surgery.
As commander of the Apollo 11 mission, Armstrong was the first man to walk on the Moon on July 20.
During the flight, Armstrong, then 38, also listened to the New World Symphony by Czech 19th-century composer Antonin Dvorak.
