New service from Citibank helps clients manage their bank accounts

PRAGUE (Citibank Press Release, 4.9.2012) – Citibank Europe plc has introduced Citi Global Banking, a new service utilising Citibank’s wide international network of branches and facilitating more convenient banking between the Czech Republic and foreign countries easier for Citi clients.

The new service Citi Global Banking enables clients to take care of all necessary administration related to opening a bank account with Citibank in foreign countries, before leaving their homeland, free of charge. At the same time, expats who are planning to live in the Czech Republic can open their new bank account before arriving to the Czech Republic as well. Citigold clients can automatically use their account and related services abroad if they fulfill requirements for the Citigold program.

“We believe that Citi Global Banking will be appreciated by all Citi clients who regularly travel abroad, for work or privately, as well as by expats living long term in the Czech Republic,” said Veronika Špaňárová, Retail Bank Head at Citibank. “Launching the Citi Global Banking service is in-line with our long term strategy to focus on customer care and convenience,” she added.

Citi Global Banking enables opening and managing a bank account with Citibank in any of the 30 countries where the service is offered, and through the Global Support Centers free of charge.
