Prague, Oct 16 (CTK) - Czech industry needs as little regulation from the European Union's (EU) single market as possible, Czech Industry and Transport Association head Jaroslav Hanak said at a conference on the 20th anniversary of the EU internal market yesterday.

"Czech business sustains this country and it is glad if nobody, from the bureaucracy in Brussels to the bureaucracy in Prague, makes its life complicated," Hanak said.

The EU does not need further legislation but early and unified implementation of its rules into practice in individual Member States, Hanak said.

The results of implementation of the Single Market Act, which was adopted by the European Commission last year, are poor, Hanak noted.

The Single Market Act identified 12 key areas that should boost the EU economic growth, from the financing of small and medium-sized companies to public contracts.

At the beginning of October this year, the Commission came up with Single Market Act II, proposing changes in transport and energy networks, mobility of citizens and companies and electric trading.
