Poll: Czech exporters increasingly interested in eastern European markets in 2012

Prague, Oct 16 (CTK) Czech exporters are focusing increasingly more on markets in Eastern Europe, apart from Russia also on Ukraine and Belarus, according to a survey made among domestic exporters on the launch of the fourth year of project HSBC to support foreign trade whose results were made public yesterday.

Exporters also raised their interest in Asian markets and Latin America.

Russia was named the most frequently for its export possibilities (31 percent). Ukraine with 29 percent placed second and Brazil with 28 percent third, followed by Kazakhstan and India.

Compared with the preceding years, interest in Arab countries grew as well. Apart from Egypt, a traditional export territory, exporters also named the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia.

From the Balkan states, Bulgaria is in the centre of their attention and among the neighbouring countries, Germany is traditionally the most popular export market, followed by Poland.
