Poll: Czechs spend least on food in central Europe

Prague, Oct 18 (CTK) - Czech households spend the lowest amount of money on food among countries of Central Europe, according to a poll conducted by Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), the results of which were provided to CTK by company DuPont yesterday.

In a global chart assessing the price accessibility of food products, the Czech Republic ranks 23rd out of 105 countries.

The study reveals that in comparison with other Central European countries, Czechs can by more food products for a relatively low part of their spendings.

Agricultural infrastructure, which is the cornerstone of accessibility of food products in all parts of the Czech Republic, has been evaluated positively as well, DuPont said.
