Prague, Oct 24 (CTK) - David Ondracka, 36, head of the Czech branch of Transparency International (TIC), has won the PR personality of the year award from the Czech Public Relations Agencies' Association (APRA) for his incessant efforts to draw people and politicians' attention to the problem of corruption.

Ondracka, who has focused on public combatting of corruption for more than ten years, specialises in highlighting political corruption, public procurement and investment and the investigation of financial crime.

Ondracka is a graduate of the Central European University in Budapest, where he majored in political economy. He has been working for TIC since 2001 and has headed the branch since 2008.

Experts chose Ondracka from several nominees at a PR summit on Tuesday. Originally, the APRA nominated 25 personalities for the award. Those shortlisted included, apart from Ondracka, Ceska sporitelna saving bank spokeswoman Klara Gajduskova, Czech House in London director Petr Soukup, CSOB bank spokesman Ivo Mestanek and Michal Donath, from Donath Business&Media.

The APRA awarded the prize for the fourth time.
