Prague, Feb 14 (CTK) - The Prague police had to intervene against a brawl of ten drunk Danes two of whom also attacked some police officers in the Prague centre in the small hours, police spokeswoman Kropacova said on the police web site yesterday.

Last night, students from Denmark also vandalised one Prague hotel and in another they put up a brawl, Kropacova said, adding that due to the danger, the police patrols were reinforced.

yesterday's brawl started before a nightclub in the Prague centre.

"Two of the foreigners attacked the police who were called in to calm down the situation," Kropacova said.

After more police were called in, two men, aged 18 and 19, were detained and now face violence and breach of the peace charges.

The police took another three youths aged 19 to the police station where they had to explain their conduct.

Breathalyser tests revealed some two per thousand of alcohol in their blood, Kropacova said.

Prague police also registered incidents reportedly caused by drunk Danish students in the past days.

On Wednesday, they caused a damage of over 100,000 crowns to the equipment of a hotel.

On the same day, another group of Danes put up a brawl in another hotel and one student had to be hospitalised. The damage amounted to tens of thousands of crowns, Kropacova said.

"Due to the repeated disturbances, we have reinforced police patrols in order to prevent further incidents," she added.

The police are closely cooperating with the Danish embassy, she added.

"We are exchanging information on further incoming students and we are resolving arisen problems," Kropacova said.
