Prague, March 18 (CTK) - Striker Libor Kozak (Lazio Roma) has been added to the Czech football team nominated for the World Cup qualifiers against Denmark and Armenia after he hit a hat-trick in a Europa League match against Stuttgart on March 14, Czech coach Michal Bilek said Monday.

With eight goals, Kozak has been the best scorer of the Europa League this season so far.

Kozak, 23, played with the Czech under-21 national team. In 2008, he moved from a Czech lower-league club to Lazio Roma.

He has played only one match with the national team until now, a friendly against Slovakia last November.

On the other hand, some of those whom Bilek nominated to the national team may not be able to play due to injuries.

The team's captain Tomas Rosicky (Arsenal) has had muscle problems, defender Theo Gebre Selassie (Bremen) and striker Tomas Pekhart (Nuremberg) both have injured their ankle.

Bilek said he hoped especially Rosicky who was the playmaker would be fit enough to play on Friday against the Danes.

Rosicky got injured during a Champions League match last week.

Midfielder Daniel Kolar (Plzen) did not join the national team for training because he is ill.

On March 26 the Czechs will play in Armenia.
