Dovalil ends as Czech under-21 football team coach

The Czech Football Association (FACR) has not extended the contract with Jakub Dovalil, coach of the national under-21 team, after the team failed to get out of the group stage at the European Under 21 Championships.

Late footballer Masopust decorated with UEFA award

Czech football player Josef Masopust, who died at the age of 84 on Monday, was presented with UEFA's President Award for 2014 by Michel Platini on Sunday, when he visited Masopust shortly before his death during his current visit to Prague, Platini said Tuesday.
