The Olomoucký and Zlínský regions in central Moravia will receive an extra CZK 600 million from the EU for social integration, road, environmentally-friendly public transport and education projects.

The situation in construction is very unfavourable for a fifth year in a row but it is still the only sector which the government has not tried to help in any way, Association of Building Entrepreneurs (SPS) Vice President Pavel Ševčík told ČTK yesterday.

An exhibition of Marilyn Monroe imagery and memorabilia to commemorate the sex-symbol of the 1950s will open at Prague Castle as planned despite the fact that some of the items were stolen during their transport to Prague.
