The police in Chelyabinsk, Russia, recently detained two Czech film makers who were filming the local railway station, and released them only after the two deleted all of their "inadmissible" videos, daily Pravo writes Monday.

The Presidential Office Monday posted an article by late Czech journalist Ferdinand Peroutka that it considers controversial within its campaign aiming to prove the claim that the highly respected Peroutka was in fact fascinated by Nazism, at least briefly before the outbreak of WW2.

Man charged with acid attack on partner commits suicide in prison

A 49-year-old man, facing up to life sentence for attempted murder of his former female partner with an acid permanently impairing her health in August 2014, committed suicide in a Prague prison during the night, the Prison Service has said in a press release.

Czechs, Poles want to improve cooperation in food production

Czechs and Poles have agreed on close cooperation of their food quality controlling bodies, Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka (Social Democrats, CSSD) said Monday and added that the bodies should better communicate and exchange information on defective food products.
