Shevtsov appeals police decision to expel him from ČR

Russian student Igor Shevtsov has appealed the Czech police Immigration Office's decision that he be expelled from the country for five years as his residence permit has expired and a court found him guilty of assisting in spraying slogans on a Prague prison wall, his lawyer has told CTK.

Poll: Czechs mistrusting media coverage

A mere 31 percent of Czechs trust the news coverage, according to a poll conducted by the Research Institute of the Study of Journalism (RISJ) of Oxford University in 37 countries of the world and released on Thursday.

Poll: ANO would win elections in June

PM Andrej Babiš's ANO would win the elections with 31 percent of the vote, if held in June, and the Civic Democrats (ODS) and the Christian Democrats (KDU-CSL) would see their gains slightly rise as against the May election model, according to a CVVM public opinion poll released on Thursday.

Minister: Defence spending to be raised gradually
