ČR to open general consulate in Manchester

The Czech Republic will open new general consulate in Manchester, England, that is to start working as of 2018, the government decided yesterday, Foreign Minister Lubomír Zaorálek (Social Democrats, ČSSD), who proposed this, has told reporters.

ČR to spend over billon crowns on development aid next year

The Czech Republic will spend slightly over one billion crowns on development aid in 2018, which is CZK 100 million more that in 2017, Foreign Minister Lubomír Zaorálek said after the cabinet meeting that approved the plan yesterday.

Chmelař is new Czech state secretary for EU

Zeman meets Trump's Czech-born ex-wife at Prague Castle

President Miloš Zeman had a short unplanned meeting with entrepreneur Ivana Trump, a former wife of the incumbent U.S. president, yesterday, his spokesman Jiří Ovčáček told ČTK, adding that Zeman told Trump that she would be a perfect candidate for U.S. ambassador to Prague.

Czech poet Eugen Brikcius receives high Austrian decoration

Hundreds attend Prague celebration of British Queen's birthday

MfD: National parks to open banned localities to public

Gov't to receive U.S. bid for helicopters in late summer

The U.S. government will present its final bid for the delivery of 12 helicopters for the Czech military to the Czech government at the end of the summer, Rear Admiral Frank Morley, from the U.S. Department of the Navy, and Rich Harris, from Bell, told journalists in Prague yesterday.
