Richter's exhibition in Prague insured for record high sum

The exhibition of Gerhard Richter, the most expensive living artist, that will open in the National Gallery (NG) in Prague on Wednesday and last until September 3, will be insured for the biggest value of all exhibitions so far held in the NG, its director Jiří Fajt told journalists yesterday.

Prague Archbishopric building seat of Japanese high-tech firm

Karlovy Vary festival to award Howard, Loach and Laverty

German painter Richter repays debt with Prague exhibition

The exhibition of works by German painter Gerhard Richter, 85, who comes from the former East Germany, which opens to the public in Kinský Palace in Prague centre on Wednesday, is a repayment of his debt, he told journalists when touring it yesterday.

Court acquits man of throwing eggs at President Zeman

A court yesterday acquitted Jindřich Fruhauf, a pensioner charged with having thrown two eggs in the direction of President Miloš Zeman at a rally in 2014, after the judge said it is impossible to prove that Fruhauf really did so.

New coin marks 300th birth anniversary of Empress Maria Theresa
