Prague secondary school students told homeless people's stories

Students of Prague secondary schools will learn about the stories of homeless people through a publication The Street Is Not My Choice prepared by the Prague Social Services Centre (CSSP), the Prague City Hall has said, adding that 1000 copies have been distributed to schools.

Czech PM to meet representatives of Austria, Slovakia and France

Construction of Czech burnt-down church replica starts next year

The construction of a replica of the 16th-century wooden church in Třinec-Guty, north Moravia, which was burnt down last week, is likely to start in the autumn of 2018 and it should be completed in 2019.

Poll: Half of Czechs use food past expiration date

More than a half of Czechs sometimes consume food past the minimum expiration date and 48 percent use food that goes bad quickly, such as dairy products and meat, after the usability date has ended, according to a CVVM poll the results of which ČTK received yesterday.

Police to undergo tighter control over leaks from files

The Czech Chamber of Deputies commission investigating leaks from files of law-enforcement bodies will propose that instruments to control them be enhanced in its final report, commission chairman Martin Plíšek told journalists yesterday. According to the statistics of the General Inspection of Security Corps (GIBS), the number of the leaks has been growing in recent years.
