Interest seems to grow every year in Witches Night. In the Czech Republic as well as some nearby countries an effigy of a witch is burned on a bonfire on April 30.

Notre-Dame benefit to be held at St Vitus' Cathedral

People will have a chance to hear classical music and support the restoration of Notre-Dame de Paris, which suffered a devastating fire on the evening of April 15, likely related to construction work on the wooden part of the roof. Several Prague orchestras will come together Tuesday, April 23, at 9:10 pm for a benefit concert at St Vitus' Cathedral in Prague Castle.
