Lítačka will charge electric cars

The Lítačka card, which replaced the now defunct Opencard, is becoming more useful not only in Prague but in the surrounding Central Bohemia region. People will be able to use it to charge electric cars or bikes at Pražská energetika charging stations.

Prague schools take on bullying

Prague has set its eyes on battling against bullying. Two city-based agencies participated in the conference that was part of the two-year project called Build Future - Stop Bullying, held in Rome at the end of June. The city will have its own conference in September.

Romanian film wins at Karlovy Vary festival

The 53rd edition of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival has ended, with awards given out after nine days of films in the spa town. The Crystal Globe for Best Feature Film went director Radu Jude's film "I Do Not Care If We Go Down in History as Barbarians." The title is a quote from the 1940s attributed to Romanian Prime Minister Ion Antonescu.
