Prague has opened four dozen fitness areas in the past year, as part of a program to encourage people to lead healthier lifestyles. In total, 48 of the planned 55 fitness parks have been built almost a year since a financing proposal was approved by City Hall.

Ryanair doubling size of Prague base

Low-cost air carrier Ryanair announced its summer schedule for 2019 at Václav Havel Airport Prague, which is greatly expanded over previous ones. Ryanair will double the number of aircraft based in Prague and also double the number of routes.

Prague 7 opposes temporary Troja bridge

A temporary footbridge from Císařský ostrov to Troja seems likely to be delayed. Prague City Hall wants to build a temporary wooden replacement for the popular footbridge that collapsed last winter, but the Transport Department of Prague 7 says the proposed bridge is not wide enough and would be noisy.
