Geis group plans to invest CZK 1bn into its development in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland in 2016-2017. The operation of a new central transhipment point for parcel logistics in Modletice near Prague, sized 6,000 m2, is scheduled to start in late 2016. The distribution point will be equipped with an automatic sorter with the sorting capacity of up to 16,000 parcels per hour. A new 10,000 m2 transhipment point is scheduled to be opened in Poland in October 2016. New regional branches should be built in Ostrava, Prostějov and Bratislava. Geis group’s executive director Daniel Knaisl has stated that the company will invest also into the equipment of its transport network.
