The company ŠKODA TRANSPORTATION has acquired a control stake in Finish producer of rail vehicles TransTech. According to Tomáš Krsek, the chairman of the board of directors of ŠKODA TRANSPORTATION, the acquisition significantly improves the position of the company for the development of its sales activities in Scandinavia. TransTech employs about 500 people and its annual turnover exceeds CZK 2.5bn. It supplies for instance train-cars for the Finnish state-owned railroad company.
