Czech Railways (ČD) transported 85.5m passengers in the first half of 2015, which is at the level of 2014. The transport performance was 3,485m passenger-kilometres, i.e. 3% higher. For a ČIANEWS survey, this information was provided by ČD spokesman Petr Šťáhlavský who added that this performance was achieved despite the record number of deviations and limited operation as a result of massive modernisation of the railroad infrastructure.
