Road vehicle production in the Czech Republic grew 11.7% on the year to 737,587 between January and June 2016. There was an 11.9% increase in the production of cars (719,495). Of the total number of produced cars, 54,128 (+8.9%) were sold in the Czech Republic. Automotive Industry Association (AutoSAP) president Martin Jahn said that car growth dynamic almost doubled on the year. According to him, the Czech automotive industry remains the drive for the local industry, sales and exports.
