Česká Pojišťovna has registered for 1H 2016 almost 14,000 damages caused by the weather and natural catastrophes with an anticipated value of around CZK 1bn. The most damage was caused by fail, responsible for 5,200 damages worth roughly CZK 380m. High water caused 2,800 damages worth roughly CZK 60m, windstorms caused 1,900 damages worth CZK 28m, lightning 1,450 damages worth CZK 15m. This was stated for ČIANEWS by spokeswoman Ivana Buriánková, who added that natural forces caused the most damage to the property of individuals. In 1H they caused more than 11,000 damages worth CZK 314m, more than 1,200 vehicles were damaged.
