The Energy Regulatory Office of the Czech Republic (ERÚ) has prepared a proposal leading to the decrease in prices of energy for end users in 2017. According to ERÚ Chairwoman Alena Vitásková, the office expects a decrease in prices by hundreds of crowns mainly in the field of regulated parts of electricity by ČEZ. She said that there was an opportunity to reduce the price for end users in the field of the collection of the mandatory fee for renewable resources. According to her words, it is possible to talk about savings of thousands of crowns a year for households. Entrepreneurs could save millions. ERÚ is preparing the halt on the collection of the fees from end users for the year 2017. It will be necessary to publish that in pricing decisions by the end of November 2016.
