Mortgage refinancing generates ca. one third of mortgage bank Hypoteční Banka’s production, but has a decreasing tendency in the long run, as banks attempt to retain their clients. The spokesperson for Hypoteční Banka, Marie Mocková, has stated in a survey for ČIANEWS that the bank provides also mortgages with variable interest rates and 100% LTV, but they account for a small portion of the total production. According to Ms. Mocková, mortgages with 100% LTV maintain a share of under 5% in the long run.
