Unipetrol generated revenues totalling CZK 17.68bn for Q1 2016. EBITDA LIFO totalled CZK 350m. Higher sales of refinery products and in retail segment had a positive effect on the result, while limited production due to the accident on the ethylene unit on August 13, 2015, was a negative factor. Unipetrol’s CEO and board of directors chairman Marek Świtajewski estimates that all repair work will be completed in July 2016 and production will be gradually launched to up to 80% of capacity in August. Unipetrol has also started the preparatory work for the building of a new polyethylene unit in June.
