On Tuesday, June 2, 2015, ČEPS, ČEPS Invest and the Ministry of Industry and Trade will start constructing PST transformers at the substation in Hradec near Kadaň. ČEPS spokeswoman Barbora Peterová said that investment costs would amount to roughly CZK 2bn. The purpose for the installation of special transformers is to ensure safe operation of the Czech distribution network during extreme transit overflow and during long-term restrictions when distribution lines are reconstructed.
