32.2 % of export from the Czech Republic goes to the German market. Germany represents 27 % of import to the local market. Mutual turnover reached EUR 79.4bn in the year 2015. In the year 2014 it was EUR 72.5bn. This is according to the ministry of industry and trade (MoIT). According to minister Jan Mládek (ČSSD), Germany is not only the most significant trade partner for the Czech Republic, but also an investor. He added that the total accumulated inflow of direct German investment in the Czech Republic since 1993 has reached EUR 20.8bn.
