Insurers register as many as thousands of travel insurance claims

Insurer UNIQA Pojišovna registered ca. 2,300 travel insurance claims in the July-September 2015 period, said spokesperson Eva Svobodová. Česká Podnikatelská Pojišovna, Vienna Insurance Group (ČPP), dealt with 700 damage claims related to travel insurance, according to spokesperson Renata Čapková. ČSOB Pojišovna reported 825 travel insurance claims during the summer season (June 1-August 31, 2015), said spokesperson Petr Milata. Allianz Pojišovna registered 1,400 assistance cases and 1,550 damage compensation cases, spokesperson Václav Bálek has added.
