Erste Group has made an agreement with Global Payment regarding the establishment of a joint venture that will accept and proceed payment cards for merchandisers (acquiring) in the Czech Republic, Romania and Slovakia. The companies also signed an agreement with Spain’s CaixaBank which will have a share in the joint venture that will be based in Prague. The respective Erste Group employees (Česká Spořitelna in the Czech Republic) will be transferred under the new undertaking in individual countries.
