Tax collection in 9M 2016 increased by CZK 321.6bn from CZK 1.29 trillion, Ministry of Finance has informed. Minister Andrej Babiš (ANO) has stated that tax income grew 7.4% y/y as of the end of September 2016 and economic growth is estimated at 3.5%. The minister has added that higher tax collection was influenced positively by better work of the Financial Administration (FS). FS’s general director FS Martin Janeček has stated that the authority has the option to fully map and uncover the distribution chain hit by carousel fraud, incl. links to foreign entities.
