Euroskeptic Czech President Václav Klaus on Wednesday gave up his ambition to chair a key EU summit next month, the last big event held under the Czech EU presidency which ends 30 June. Klaus “proposed that Prime Minister Jan Fischer should chair June’s EU summit in Brussels on behalf of the Czech presidency,” his office said in a statement.
