Prague, Jan 7 (CTK) – Czech Justice Minister Robert Pelikan (ANO) will not file a cassation complaint against the court decision that reinstated Petr Dohnal as Prison Service head and added that he has no reason to meet his predecessor, Pavel Ondrasek, whose further employment is up to Dohnal.
Ondrasek said previously he wants to meet Pelikan because he insists on that he continues to lead the Prison Service together with Dohnal.
Dohnal was dismissed in April 2014 by former justice minister Helena Valkova (ANO) for loss of trust and alleged financial management problems. He was replaced by Ondrasek.
Pelikan said yesterday he will end a review of the appointment of Ondrasek as head of the Prison Service within two weeks. The review is to determine whether Ondrasek´s appointment to the post filled by Dohnal was not possible.
Ondrasek said previously he is ready to defend himself against his dismissal from the post of Prison Service head by filing a complaint.
On Monday, he said his goal is not to stay in the post at any cost, but that he insists on respect for law and on the ensuring of legal certainties in the Prison Service.
The ministry is of the view that Dohhal is the sole Prison Service director because Ondrasek´s post automatically ceased to exist with the court´s decision.
On December 30, the ministry delivered to Ondrasek Pelikan´s decision that obstacles to the execution of Ondrasek´s post emerged on the side of the employer.
