Czech foreign minister to meet Swedish, Italian counterparts

Prague, March 13 (CTK) – Czech Foreign Minister Lubomir Zaoralek (Social Democrats. CSSD) will discuss the current foreign affairs, the migrant crisis and EU agenda with his counterparts from Sweden and Italy in Prague next week

With Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wallstroem, Zaoralek will also speak about the forthcoming summit of the Visegrad Four (the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia) with Baltic and Nordic countries.

Wallstroem is scheduled to come on March 15-16.

Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni will arrive on March 16 and leave on the next day.

According to the Foreign Ministry, EU enlargement, Brexit and relations with Russia and Ukraine as well as Eastern Partnership countries will be on the agenda of the talks.

An EU-Turkish agreement on the fight against illegal migration is also likely to be discussed.

The meeting with Wallstroem will also focus on regional cooperation in connection with the forthcoming meeting of V4 foreign ministers with their Baltic and Nordic opposite numbers, to be held in Latvia in April.

Zaoralek wants to open the issue of economic cooperation with Gentiloni.

Last year, the volume of Czech-Italian foreign trade reached the record value of over 10 billion euros.
