The Volkswagen Prague Marathon takes place May 7, starting at 9 am at Old Town Square. It will be the 23rd edition of the race that has become the most important running event in the country. Around 10,000 runners from over 90 countries are expected to participate. The 42 kilometer route will go through much of Prague’s historical center along both sides of the Vltava river. There are additional races on May 6 as well, making it a marathon weekend.
