The coalition government ČSSD, ANO and KDU-ČSL approved at its meeting on December 22, 2014 a public order for the maintenance of aircrafts CASA C – 295M. The proposal was submitted by Czech Minister of Defence Martin Stropnický (ANO). ČIANEWS was told by ministry spokesman Petr Medek that the tender was won by Airbus Defence & Space. On December 22, 2014 the government led by Bohuslav Sobotka (ČSSD) approved a directive specifying the extension of the tax duty transfer from dealers to customers. According to Michal Žurovec of the press department of the Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic, the directive reacts on the amendment of the VAT Act. It applies to the delivery of selected goods of the total amount of the tax base exceeds CZK 100,000. The new regime will be applied as of April 1, 2015. Source: cianews.cz
On December 22, the Chamber of Deputies approved a draft of the bill on public health insurance.The amendment includes an increase of the volume of treatment covered from public health insurance in the spa segment by up to CZK 500m per year. Czech group ČEZ has used its subsidiary ČEZ Energetické služby to gain control over Pardubice-based EVČ, a company focused on design and realisation of energy constructions, including energy savings projects.The transaction includes also EVČ’s stakes in three companies, a stake of 50% in BES Bratislava, 49% in ENESA and 20% in TEPLO Votice. Kofola ČeskoSlovensko has acquired from Slovenian firm Pivovarna Laško 75.31% stake in mineral water producer Radenska for EUR 13.59 per share. Kofola has cooperated on the acquisition with Slovenian investment group P&P Group, with which it will control Radenska after the transaction is finalised. Kofola and P&P Group will split the acquired stake at the ratio of 60:40.
The planning company of Třinecké Železárny, M-Steel Project, has won in Azerbaijan a contract worth CZK 17bn for the reconstruction of more than 600 km of the Baku–Tbilisi–Kars railway. This was confirmed for ČIANEWS by Železárny spokeswoman Petra Jurásková.
ČKD GROUP companies have so far lost three projects where they were about to sign the respective contracts since June 2014. The total value of these projects was EUR 110m, ČKD GROUP’s media representative Karel Samec told ČIANEWS. The group is monitoring the situation in Russia both with regard to the local currency development and the current rouble decline and from the perspective of the banks’ willingness to provide funds for pending business cases in this territory.
