Cargo railroad company ČD Cargo transported totally 16.3 million tons of goods in Q3 2015, down 5.9% from Q3 2014. The volume in Q3 2015 is comparable to the previous two quarter-years. The spokesperson for the Czech Railways, Petr Šťáhlavský, has told ČIANEWS that the most transported commodities were iron and engineering products (metallurgy products, ores, scrap etc.), accounting for 21% of the total. The least transported commodities were foodstuffs and agricultural products (grain, food etc.), amounting to just 1.2% of the total.
