Police said they detained 22 people suspected of making and distributing cheap vodka and domestic rum laced with methyl-alcohol that killed at least 20 persons in the past two weeks. The poisonous drinks may have come from one source and the suspects may face as much as 10 years in prison if found guilty, Václav Kučera, deputy police chief, said on state Czech Television yesterday.
