About
AI policy
How Prague Monitor uses AI in its newsroom, and which stories a human editor approves first.
Prague Monitor is an AI-assisted newsroom. We use AI models to help find and organise information, to draft articles and to check them against their sources. We say so openly, on every article.
How publication works
Articles are written with AI assistance and checked by automated fact and style checks against their sources. Stories on politics, courts, health, migration and visas, and anything about named people, are published only after a human editor approves them.
Routine stories are published after the automated checks. Where a person approves a story, that person is responsible for the published text; for everything else the publisher is responsible.
Limits
- AI is not used to invent quotes, sources, people or figures.
- Facts and numbers must trace to a source listed in the article.
- AI-generated images are not presented as photographs of real events.
Mistakes
AI systems make mistakes, and so do people. If you find an error, tell us. See the corrections page.
