Doosan Škoda Power will supply a 375-MW steam turbine for the Infraestructura Energética Mejillones power plant in Chile. The total capacity of Škoda steam turbines installed in Latin America will thus increase to almost 2.4 GW. The project’s EPC supplier is South Korea’s SK Engineering & Construction, with E.CL of Chile as the investor. The power plant should be commissioned in mid-2018. The steam turbine will be supplied by the end of 2016.
