Prague, April 18th, 2013 (Press Release) – The Kempinski Hotel Hybernska Prague, one of the city’s leading luxury hotels, will be welcoming visitors to its own tent at the famous three-day Prague Food Festival, which will run this year from Friday, May 24th until Sunday, May 26th, in the Castle Gardens. The Kempinski Hotel will be offering dishes from its award winning Le Grill Restaurant, as well as giving visitors the opportunity to relax in its outdoor ‘lounge area’.

The Kempinski Hotel’s Le Grill Restaurant will be taking part in the Prague Food Festival for the fifth year in a row, and, as one of the top restaurants in Pavel Maurer’s famous Grand Restaurant Guide 2012, its stand is sure to be popular with visitors. In attendance will be both the Kempinski Hotel’s Executive Chef, Marek Fichtner, and its famous Pastry Chef, Karolína Kocincová, who will be preparing dishes specifically for the weekend.

Executive Chef Marek Fichtner will have a workshop at the Kempinski booth everyday from 17:30 onwards, to personally teach onlookers about some of the secrets to preparing his tantalising barbecue dishes, including grilled tiger prawns, and a grilled pork fillet in bacon Lardo di Colonnata with smoked potato puree and sauce of honey and Pommery mustard.

Dessert lovers can look forward to the culinary art of the award-winning Pastry Chef, Karolína Kocincová, who will prepare a selection of three “sweet temptation” confections for tasting. Karolína will also be leading a how-to workshop on the basics of confectionary, entitled “Crash Course of Confectionary Art”.

Part of the stand will also feature a presentation of Dobrá Vinice wines from Nový Šaldorf, which supplies the exclusive Kempinski house wines, Kempinski Rouge, Kempinski Cuvéé Kambrium, and Kempinski Rosé.

Talking about the hotel’s participation at the Prague Food Festival, Peter Knoll, the General Manager of the Kempinski Hotel Hybernska, said: “We are very excited about this year’s Prague Food Festival, and are looking forward to being able to present the culinary art of our wonderful team, not only to our hotel guests and visitors, but to everybody who loves good food. Our chefs will be offering some very special dishes that can usually only be tasted in our hotel, and together with our lounge area, that will be open to everybody at the Prague Food Festival, we hope to create the ideal place for visitors to relax and try some truly great food.”

Furthermore, the Kempinski Hotel Hybernska Prague will be participating in the Prague Rum Cocktail Week, during which the best bars in town, including the Kempinski Two Steps Bar, will offer a special rum cocktails menu. The Prague Rum Cocktail Week is a run-up week to the first ever RumFest that is taking place on Friday, April 26th, 2013, in the New Town Hall (Novoměstská radnice), offering an exclusive opportunity to taste a number of different quality rums from around the world, visit seminars organized by leading rum brands, and see professionals in action during a bartenders’ cocktail competition.
