High concentrations of the so-called ultra-fine particles in the air were found by scientists from the border regions of Poland, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic, collaborating on the Air Tritia project. The findings confirm the need to reduce municipal and transport emissions, according to a representative from the Central Mining Institute (GIG) in Katowice.
Unipetrol, a subsidiary of PKN Orlen and Italian Technip reached an agreement regarding construction of a new polyethylene unit (PE3) at Litvínov plant in the Czech Republic, a company press release read.
Polish natural gas pipeline operator Gaz-System and its Czech peer Net4Gas are planning the construction of a new gas link between the two countries. The estimated cost of the 107.6-kilometer pipeline is EUR 214 million.
