Prime Minister Jan Fischer said on Monday his government would use all legal ways to prevent the 2010 budget gap from rising above 5.3% of gross domestic product. Fischer said the cabinet’s plan to rein in the gap includes a CZK 5.1 billion income from the majority state-owned power utility ČEZ dividend which will cover infrastructure projects. The Finance Minister Eduard Janota will sumbit 10 January a proposal for spending that can be tied up in the buffer fund.
