Czech group Volný is claiming damages worth more than CZK 4 billion from the biggest Czech telecoms firm Telefónica O2 Czech Republic, news agency ČTK reported on Wednesday. Volný, part of a group named Dial Telecom, says the damages are for squeezed margins caused by Telefónica O2 ČR in the ADSL internet segments. The Czech anti-monopoly office has opened a case against Telefónica O2 ČR relating to its dominant position in high-speed internet connections.
