An opera by a Czech composer touching on the 1932–33 famine in Ukraine will have its premiere some 78 years after it was written. Alois Hába’s opera The New Earth will be heard for first time ever Dec. 12 under the musical direction of Artistic Director of the Opera Petr Kofroň.
