The Czech Republic will be without Tomas Berdych in the Davis Cup playoff at India next week. Berdych, the country’s top player who contributed to the 2012-13 Davis Cup titles, opted to focus on the ATP Tour this year and also didn’t play in the 3-2 loss to Australia in the first round.
