The group Kaufland will extend its activity in the framework of the business alliance European Marketing Distribution (EMD) by part of its East European activities. This will involve markets in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Croatia, Romania, and Bulgaria. According to EMD, this measure will offer new sales and marketing opportunities mainly for suppliers of branded goods already cooperating with Kaufland on East European markets. The alliance is active in 19 European countries and represents interests of 500 commercial companies with more than 150,000 points of sales of all kinds.
